To Nap, or not to Nap....

We have been fighting with naps for quite some time now...There are days when Jack does great right up until bedtime, and then there are others when 5 o'clock rolls around I can usually find him looking a little like something in the pictures above. I started taking pictures of the random places I would find him sleeping and this is what I have so far...Jason actually found him asleep practically doing a headstand against the wall one day, but unfortunately, did not take a picture. You better believe I'm going to enjoy the naps while they last!

What's Happenin'

Hey everyone..I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are geared up for the Christmas season! With all of my friends being much more proactive and organized than I am, they have inspired me to get going a little earlier this year (or they just non-intentionally made me feel like I'm slacking so I better get it into gear!)
Jason and I got a fire going the other night and I was just giddy! There is just nothing like hot chocolate next to a fire..I was very excited.
Last week we went and got pictures taken.. and these are a few of my favorites..Nolan is still a little young, so I'll get some of just him in a couple months. Jack was a little difficult until I got in with him and took a few shots..then he did o.k.
I'm hoping to get my shopping done soon and with Jason almost being done for the semester we might get to relax for a little bit during the break! Take care..

Look at those muscles!

Today was such a nice day we had to go out and enjoy. Jack had a blast playing in the leaves and chasing the squirrels he does this thing now with anything that is small. He sees "baby" leaves and "baby" rocks and thinks they are so cute..he even kissed a rock today because it was just so "cute." I'm sure his little world has just been rough lately with Nolan taking over as the baby but he has done very well. I think the terrible two's have arrived but for the most part he is a sweety and an amazing big brother.

Yes, I know it might be a little early for Jack to have a "crew" but I guess you could say we start them young. Luckily, for me we have had quite a few new families move into our ward and ironically enough both moms names are Lacey and they both have little boys that are Jacks age. We have been able to hang out at the park a few times and the boys have a lot of fun together. They are all pretty independent boys that like to roam..so we are always chasing them around...well kind of:) Thanks girls for the good times!

Nolan Pictures

This little man has been such a blessing to our family. He is such a pleasant baby. I doubt he will ever know what the phrase "personal space" means because Jack just loves to be 2 inches from his face at all times. My love grows for him everyday and I can't wait for his personality to show through. He is getting stronger every day and much more alert. He actually smiled at me today for the first time. I'm telling you right now... experiencing every little moment with the second child is just as exciting and fulfilling as the first!

A tribute to Paige...

For those of you who didn't know, my sister Paige came to stay with us in August for 3 months. She left on Tuesday and we all miss her so much! Although Jack and "Baige" had a love/hate relationship I think he really misses her. At nights he has been so used to giving her a goodnight kiss he has been asking where she is. It was lots of fun having her here, we will all be so glad to see her again soon! Love ya Paigey!

This week at the Carney House..

We managed to get out of the house a few times this week. On Wednesday night we went to a ward Halloween party. Jack was very apprehensive about getting ready until he figured out that when you dress up you get candy...I think it will be a lot easier to get him ready next time:) He is a mime this year..we thought it would be fitting seeing as how he rarely talks and acts out everything.


We also were able to go to the pumpkin patch today. Jack had so much fun and loved rolling the pumpkins all over the place. He has been walking around the house with his little mini pumpkin and treating it like his little baby. It's kinda cute.

Too good to be true..

I knew things were going too well. On Wednesday out of no where I came down with a high fever and what I thought was the flu. I soon found out it was mastitis ( clogged milk duct) Today is the first day I have left the couch. It seems the antibiotics have kicked in FINALLY. I will post soon about more exciting things than laying on the couch and watching TLC all day!

This past week has gone by so smooth..I don't want to jinx it. Jack has been adjusting really well and Nolan has been so pleasant. Now that my mom is gone we will see how I can handle things on my own. Jack loves to play and cuddle with Nolan (he probably hasn't figured out that he is staying for good) I love my family of boys and I don't know what I would do without any of them. Thanks so much to everyone for your calls and help this past week. You are all the best! Take care..

Nolan Seth Carney

20 1/2 inches

So here is our new little addition. We are all doing well and adjusting quite nicely (so far) The labor went great, I couldn't believe how fast it went after laboring for 24 hours with jack i thought I was in for the long hall. With Nolan we went in at 8:30 and had the little guy by 2:15. He has been a great baby so far and has had no problem at all eating! I don't know if you can tell but it looks like we might have a little red head...we will see if it stays because Jacks hair was pretty red too. It will be fun to find out. I just wanted to post something quick so I can get back to resting. My mom has been here and has been a great help. I don't know what I would do without her! Take care!

I can't believe I actually posted a pregnant picture!
For those of you wondering when this little boy will arrive into the world...Mon. Oct.8th is D-day! I am dilated and the baby weighs at least 7 lbs.(probably more) so I'm scheduled to be at the hospital at 8am on Mon. morning for an induction. I can't put into words how excited I am and happy that this day is so close. I can't even remember what I look like without a pregnant belly! Hopefully I'll be posting soon with some beautiful baby boy pictures! Wish me luck!

I'm taking over...

So I decided I am going to start taking over the blogging again. Although my husband made a valiant effort... It's back to the books for him! We had such a fun summer and I wanted to post just a few highlights of the past couple months.





Swimming, Baseball and Birthdays... Isn't that summer in a nut shell for everyone? Well it is for us..and we had a blast!
